MY PHILOSOPHY
HOLISTIC APPROACH

Our emotional struggles can leave their residue in our mind, body, and spirit, yet they don't have to be a life sentence. I believe that every human being has the innate capacity for healing and wholeness and can transform even the most difficult life experiences, patterns, and beliefs, into sources of embodied wisdom and empowerment.

My approach is integrative, culturally-sensitive, and grounded in evidence-based modalities. I collaborate with you to create an individualized holistic treatment plan by integrating top-down (cognitive therapies) and bottom up (somatic therapies) approaches to address the impact of stressors on the whole self. I bring my doctoral research dissertation, and postdoctoral training in trauma-informed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindful Self-Compassion into my passion for implementing mindfulness and body-based healing to harness the power of the nervous system. 

 

My style is warm and authentic, and I strive to create an inclusive, affirmative space where your experience can be heard with acceptance and compassion. I balance building insight with developing skills to get you unstuck and build the life you want.
