ABOUT DR. DENIZ
Advanced Training & Clinical Experience
Dr. Deniz Ahmadinia is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY29915) with expertise in the areas of trauma, anxiety disorders, and mindfulness meditation. She is extensively trained in evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Her approach draws on evidence-based practices that are tailored to clients' individual needs and backgrounds in order to maximize the effectiveness of therapy. With an emphasis on mindfulness-based therapies, Dr. Deniz has maintained a personal meditation practice for nearly a decade, and her dedication to living mindfully is an integral part of both her professional and personal life.
Dr. Deniz is also a Professor at Pepperdine University, Graduate School of Education and Psychology and teaches the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy track in the doctoral program.
